Valerie Levine has been dancing since
the age of four, and has studied a wide range of dance styles.
Those styles have included Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern,
Hip-Hop, Belly Dance, Ballroom and Latin Dance including
American Smooth, American Rhythm, and Theater Arts.
She has been teaching and competing Pro-Am in American Smooth
and American Rhythm styles, and has traveled the world (including
Egypt) for competitions and showcases with her Pro-Am partners.
She also competed in American Rhythm at the Nassau Coliseum
for the prelude of the popular phenomenon “Dancing
with the Stars” when it toured in February 2007, the
following day of which she and her Pro-Am partner appeared
in Newsday. Since then, she has performed many shows
and has been featured in many media spots (credits among
which include the Today Show and CW11 Morning News with
fellow instructors from Stepping Out Studios). Valerie has
additionally performed at corporate events, and
shot video segments [Lance Armstrong’s wellness site

with her dance partner, Jules Helm. She is also
a member of the “Dance Soul Company” which
is a Belly Dance Fusion company; and a Brazilian Samba Troupe
which performs at shows and clubs throughout NYC, including
Marquee. Most recently, Valerie was invited to join the
popular “Dancing With the Stars” Mexico version
of the show. Valerie loves teaching all styles and levels
of dance whether for beginners, wedding couples, competitive
dancers, or show dance performers.
A Professional Figure Skating Instructor as well, Valerie
is certified by the United States Figure Skating Association.
She has been competing in figure skating/ice dancing since
the age of 11, and has tested her ‘pre-golds’
in ice dancing, and her senior level in ‘Moves in
the Field.’ Having been accepted to tour with
“Disney On Ice” at the age of 18, she chose
rather to first obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in
Product Management Textiles from the Fashion Institute of
Technology. After graduating with honors, she went
on to pursue her skating/dance career.
Since graduating High School, Valerie has been figure skating
and performing for grand scale audiences and venues. Several
prominent venues include Madison Square Garden where
she skates as a Ranger City Skater for the NHL team, the
New York Rangers; the Nassau Coliseum where she skates
as an Ice Girl for the NHL team, the New York Islanders;
and the “Ice Theater of New York.” For TOVI
PRODUCTIONS, she and her pairs partner, Curtis Chornopyski,
skate at Tri-State area Ice Skating events performing in
a wide variety of shows and corporate events on ice and
GLICE (synthetic ice).
Complementing her dancing and skating skills, Valerie is
also a highly respected and much sought after make-up artist.
Valerie’s passions lie in performing, competing,
and teaching the art forms to which she dedicates her life.
