and

events,
you will also find him serving as Master of Ceremonies.
Angel
believes that to You your craft is to love your craft.
Angel began his Salsa/Mambo training "On 2" in New York
City with Eddie Torres in 1989. He then served six years
(1990-1996) as a principle dancer with the Eddie Torres
Dance Company. Since then,
he has traveled both domestically and internationally
to introduce
Salsa to countless enthusiasts.
As an established International Salsa Instructor, Angel
has been consistently teaching at International Salsa
Congresses and Festivals since 1997; his first being
the original World Salsa Congress in August 1997, San
Juan, Puerto Rico. For five consecutive years (1997-2001),
Angel served as a featured Instructor at this event.
Formerly trained in Jazz dance (Lynn Simonson) and
Ballet (he received a ballet scholarship in 1981),
Angel has incorporated these elements of dance to
create his own style of dancing Salsa with New York
influence. He continued his growth in Salsa, when
in 2003, he became a Certified Instructor with the
World Salsa Federation (the World Salsa Federation
offers a syllabus that is accepted worldwide, used
for competitions, teacher certification, and social
dancing, and the only official syllabus for the AAU
Junior Olympics.)
It was in 1992, that Angel first went on tour to
South America and Puerto Rico to perform Salsa alongside
major Salsa recording artists formerly of the RMM
record label. This tour was in celebration of Tito
Puente's 100th Album/CD (buy video of same name).
Traveling with the Eddie Torres Dance Company and
performing on stage alongside Tito Puente and many
other famous recording artists was a privilege and
the beginning of Angel's career in Salsa, now in
it's 20th year.
