SALSA ACADEMY - Stepping Out offers a dedicated Salsa “on 2” department with the “Salsa Academy.” The Salsa Academy focuses on Salsa “on 2,” and is directed by renowned Salsero, Nelson Flores; assistant directed by Nicholas Messina. The instructors of the Academy are Nelson Flores, Nicholas Messina, Jennifer Rosado, Wil Nieves, and Amanda Marquez. The Academy takes students from beginning to a very advanced level of dancing. There is a separate price structure for Academy students. Prices are based on a per class basis (single drop-in class $20; 4-class card $68; and 8-class card $120; $220 unlimited card with an expiration of 2 months from date of purchase). Dynamic Business Owner, Theater Director, Choreographer, Producer, and a Certified Professional Dance Instructor of more than 20 years experience. Steve is excited to be joining the dynamic team of professionals and students here at Stepping Out. Having founded the Palomar Ballroom in Santa Cruz, CA (his home town) Steve has successfully helmed no less than 5 Partner Dance Schools. He has organized competitions; performed and traveled the world on board the #1 luxury cruise line, Crystal Cruises; enjoyed great success as an American Smooth Champion and as a top teacher on the Pro/Am competitive scene. Steve is thrilled to call Stepping Out "home" and looks forward to a fun, creative, and long lasting experience. After several months, students and teachers alike are experiencing the effects of his dynamic leadership.
